Sussex Safer Roads: “Embrace Life/Always Wear Your Seatbelt”

(Promoted again, and deservedly so)

Okay, is it just me, or is this one unfriggin-believably emotionally impactful?

You start off not knowing what’s going on… which is exactly what draws you in further and further. And then it just packs a wallop. Now, here’s the thing… I’ve got no inside info, and don’t actually know what they spent, but… one room + no sound/no mics needed + sountrack = a great ad for what must’ve been a very reasonable budget. Great idea, great editing = didn’t need a zillion dollars worth of special effects.

Brastemp: “Mirrors”

You know, I’m really not sure what’s going on here, but… sure do love the visuals & song.

Anyone know what this is? I’m guessing maybe the language is Portuguese (since I speak Spanish, and keep almost thinking I can understand it but really can’t). And the client appears to be “Brastemp,” which I’m guessing is either a Brazilian temp service, or… a provider of bras, but just for temporary use.

Regardless, enjoy! “Scantily-clad builders”

This one is a hoot, and certainly an attention getter. These guys are a riot. (Not surprisingly, it’s for a British company — I think a good sense of humor is a prerequisite for living there!) Commercial from Sell! Sell! on Vimeo.

Air New Zealand: “Nothing to Hide”

Go ahead, watch the commercial. Enjoy it.

Oh, and if you’re still wondering why this ad is so great, watch it again… with the knowledge that those uniforms are actually body paint.

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Strange Japanese Ad

Well honestly, I have no idea what the hell is going on in this one. But look at it just once and you’ll know why I couldn’t bear to NOT pass it on.

Epuron: “Wind”

Okay, so this is tough to understand, between the webby sound, the accent, and the deep voice, but… bear with it, because the payoff at the end is just fantastic.

Playstation: “Double Life”

To all those who claim that playing video games is just pure dorkiness… here’s an answer from Playstation. Hey, even if a lot of the game players ain’t cool — including, ahem, me — the commercial sure is, and has a Clio award to show for it.

NEC: “Parabola/TV Guy”

Until the last few seconds, you’ll be wondering what the hell is so great about this, but… then you’ll get it, big time. Very clever.
